About the project

Where two musical worlds meet

Total Tenor is an opera and DJ crossover project, born out of the musical friendship of its two founders, opera singer Tarján Pál and music producer Lepés Gábor.

The formation moves between classical genres and electronic music. The programme features opera arias, operetta and musical numbers and Italian and Latin songs in new arrangements, on the same stage as contemporary club music. The project regularly collaborates with invited guest artists.

Tarján Pál, opera singer

Opera singer, tenor

Tarján Pál

A singer who, after many years of work abroad, is performing in Hungary again. His programme spans opera arias, operetta, musical and film-score numbers as well as Italian and Latin songs. Alongside his singing career he is a composer: he wrote the music for the Hungarian puppet series Krisztofóró, among other works. He has performed regularly in Transylvania for years; in 2007 he recorded a joint operetta album with Dancs Annamari, and in 2009 they staged an operetta and musical gala with the Brașov Opera.
